Blogger of the Week : Sabina Botica of I Shopped 'Till I Dropped

What inspired you to create your blog?
I was in a constant search for a new sources of fashion inspiration and once I discovered all these fashion communities and personal style blogs it was something I was immediately drawn to. Sharing your looks and photos for a world to see and expose yourself for both positive and negative comments seemed like a brave thing to do and I was admiring all these girl and their blogs.

How do you describe your style? What are your sources of inspiration?
I'm not the kind who likes to experiment a lot, mix different styles and wear anything just because it is trendy at the moment. I only pick cuts and colors that suits me the best, mostly wear neutral colors with an occasional pop of bright color or a print and, no matter if it's a chic or more casual look, want it to be classy.
- For a long time I was inspired by the celebrity style, their editorial or red carpet looks, but I knew that with celebrities what you see is not always what you get. Their looks may not always be their choice and reflection of who they are, but just a well rounded work of bunch of professional stylists. But ever since I've got my own blog, I'm constantly inspired with all these wonderful bloggers around the world who are just like me, who can afford brands and clothes that I can, wear their looks in everyday situations just like I need to.

What is the best and worst part of having a blog?
For me, having a blog is a great getaway from everyday situations or problems. I'm very busy and one of my favorite ways to relax after a long day at work and hectic week is to be creative with my clothes, accessories and camera, and make some new photos for my blog.
The bad thing about having a blog is that people may perceive you as a superficial person with too many free time or money on their hands. I've never received any bad comment for what I do, but I'm aware that people may consider this to be just a pointless hobby or a pure showing off.

Do you feel that your blog change your life in any way ?
I never expected my blog to give me a life changing experience. I don't dream of fashion weeks, front rows of the runways, or fashion magazines. I'm a down-to-earth person to whom blogging is just a hobby and as long as I enjoy it I will be doing it, with no great expectations at all.
But I've noticed that my blog influenced in me in a way that I'm more creative with my clothes and accessories. I'm enjoying wearing something that maybe before I wouldn't dare to and I feel a lot confident while doing it. So the blog did change my attitude and self-confidence in a positive way.

What advise would you give to someone who is thinking about creating or already has a blog?
"Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken."

When your not writing your blog what do you like to do?
Enjoy the sunshine and these little things in life. It may sounds like a clichee, but as I'm getting older I appreciate that more and more.
